  Heavenly abode of Lord Shiva, who shares this lofty peak with his consort Goddess Parvati.
Kailash Mandala is also considered Mt. Sumeru in Buddism and Hindusm. Pious Hindus look upon Kailash as heaven or throne of Mahadeva –the great God Shiva. Pilgrimage to holy Mt. Kailash assures rebirth in Shiva’s paradise. A pilgrimage journey made to this holy site assures freedom from sins of a lifetime.
Mt. Kailash and Mansarover are rooted in antiquity dating back to Vedic era. Mansarover is believed to have originated from the mindof lord Bramha; hence called Manas-Sarover. Four great rivers of Asia – Karnali, Sutluj, Indus and Brahmaputra originate from Kailash region. For those without a specific faith the mountain’s physical from and colour makes it a natural symbol of purity.
 
 
Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu.
 
  Arrival at the International Airport and later transfer to hotel.

Day 02 : IN KATHMANDU
 
  Breakfast at the hotel.
Today, we will visit the holiest shrines of the Hindu & Buddhists culture in Nepal.

Day 03 : In Kathmandu.
 
  Optional: Mountain flight.
Those, who are unable to make a trekking trip to the mountains either because of lack of time or physical, Fitness or due to sheer want of the adventure steak, there are mountain flights to simulate the experience. The one-hour flight takes you within camera range of some of the highest peaks in the world, and cruising this close to the awe-inspiring massifs of rock and ice, is an out-of-this earth experience. The aircraft takes off and heads eastward and almost immediately, the peaks come into view. You will see Shisa Pangma (8013), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Choba Bhamre (5933m), Gauri Shankar (7134m), Melungtse (7023m), Numbur (6956m), Karyolung (6511m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Gyachungkang (7952m), Punor (7161m), Nuptse (7855m) and the Everest (8848m).

The flight also provide each passenger with an individual window seat during entire flight and more over the passengers would be invited to the cockpit from where we can take some spectacular pictures of the highest peak in the world. The full stand up cabin height of 6 feet allows you to move freely within the cabin and you do not have to crouch and also in addition the low noise and instant cabin temperature allow having the most comfortable flight. Later rest of the day to relax or explore the city on your own or free for shopping & packing for the pilgrimage.

Day 04 : Kathmandu.    
 
     
 
Day 05 : Kathmandu / Lhasa (3650m / 11680 ft)
 
  After breakfast, transfer to international airport to board flight for Lhasa.
Leave Kathmandu by China Air at 1025 hrs.
Arrive Lhasa and transfer to hotel.
Lhasa, in Tibetan means ` the land of Gods’. It is the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region is located at the north bank of Kyichu River, a tributary of the Yarlung Tsangpo River, at an altitude of 3,650 m above sea level. It has a history of more than 1,300 years and it has been center of politics, economy, culture and religion in Tibet since ancient times.
Rest of the day free for acclimatization.

Day 06 : In Lhasa
 
  After breakfast at the hotel, visit to Potala Palace. The Potala, one of the most famous architectural works of Tibet, is erected on top of the Red Hill. The word ` Potala’ comes from Sanskrit. In 7th century, after the Tibetan King Songtse Gampo’s marriage with Princess Wencheng of the Tang Court, the Palace was built for meditation. In the mid 17th century, it was built by the 5th Dalai Lama to its present size and ever since it became the Winter Palace of the Dalai Lama. The construction took 50 years from its beginning to completion.
Rest of the day free to explore the city on your own.

  Tour of Drepung, Sera & Norbulinka.

Day 08 : Lhasa / Gyantse (3650m / 11680 ft)
 
  After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Gyantse by jeep. Check-in at hotel.
Later visit Pelkor Monastery.

Day 09 : Gyantse / Shigatse (3900m / 12480 ft)
 
  Drive to Shighatse en route visiting Xialu and Thashilunphu monasteries en route.

Day 10 : SHIGATSE / LHATSE (4500 m / 14,400 ft)
 
  Drive to Lhatse. Check-in at the hotel.    
 
  Overnight in Lhatse
 
     
 
Day 11 : LHATSE / SAGA (4280 m / 13696 ft)
 
  Drive to Saga. Check-in at the hotel.    
 
  Overnight in Saga
 
     
 
Day 12 : SAGAS / MANSAROVAR (CHIU GOMPA) 94560 m / 14592 ft)
 
  Drive on to Mansarovar and on arrival check-in at the guest house.    
 
  Overnight in Mansarovar
 
     
 
Day 13 : IN MANSAROVAR (CHIU GOMPA).
 
  AM: Enjoy a hot spring bath near the gompa and later visit Chiu Gompa. PM: Free to relax

Day 14 : MANSAROVAR / THOLING.
 
  Drive to Tholing. Check-in at the camp    
 
  Overnight in Tholing
 
     
 
Day 15 : THOLING / TSAPARANG / THOLING
 
  Visit Tsaparang    
 
  Overnight in Tholing
 
     
 
Day 16 : THOLING / THIRITHPURI
 
  Drive to Thirithpuri    
 
  Overnight in THIITHPURI
 
     
 
Day 17 : THIRHITPURI / DARCHEN
 
  Drive to Darchen and check-in at the guest house.    
 
  Overnight in Darchen
 
     
 
Day 18 : DARCHEN / TARBOCHE / DIRAPHUK (4909 m / 15709 ft)
 
  Drive up to Tarboche, the kora commencement point. While the Sherpa’s load the camping /kitchen stuff on the yaks, commence your walk to Diraphuk monastery.
 
  Overnight in Diraphuk
 
     
 
Day 19 : DIRAPHUK / ZUTULPUK (4,790 m/ 15328 ft)
 
  Today’s walk is no doubt hard but not impossible… walk slowly without spending more time on resting...And soon … you will be at the camp and steadily.
 
  Overnight in Zutulpuk monastery
 
     
 
Day 20 : ZUTULPUK / DARCHEN
 
  Todays walk is very easy in comparison to last 02 days walk and short too..only 12 kms.
Arrive at the road end, where your jeeps will be waiting for you to welcome after finishing the kora and later transfer to Darchen.
Rest of the day to relax.
 
  Overnight in Darchen
 
     
 
Day 21 : DARCHEN / SAGA
 
  Drive on to Saga and on arrival check-in at the hotel.    
 
  Overnight in Saga
 
     
 
Day 22 : SAGAS / NAYALAM / ZHANGMU
 
  Drive on to Zhangmu via Nayalam.    
 
  Overnight in Zhangmu
 
     
 
Day 23 : ZHANGMU / KODARI – KODARI / KATHMANDU
 
  After completing the immigration formalities, drive on to Kodari border. After completing the immigration formalities from Nepal side at Kodari, drive on to Kathmandu by bus and on arrival check-in at the Overnight in Kathmandu.
